The discrete style of Calvin Klein.

The discrete style of Calvin Klein – Founded in 1968 together with Barry Schartz, the New York brand has been researching the purity of its lines from the very beginning, giving life to a casual and metropolitan style.

Calvin Klein was born in 1942 in New York. His early interest in design led him to enroll in the High School for Art and Design, before attending the Fashion Institute for technology and design.

After completing his studies in 1962, in just six years the designer managed to create his own personal company, putting the experience gained in some other important fashion houses.

In the ’70s a new vision of fashion began and Klein, together with Giorgio Armani and Ralph Lauren, began to create a more discreet, linear, essential and sophisticated style.

John Kennedy and Carolyne Bessett became ambassadors of his style. In the ’80s the brand decided to take a casual and underwear style investing heavily in a series of advertising campaigns of great impact.

After the iconic advertising of Kate Moss in the 90s, she became the inspiring muse of Klein and is immortalized by Bruce Weber in numerous advertising campaigns.

Originally Calvin Klein was designed for a female public, today the production has also expanded to men and children.

Also the brand added fashion accessories, shoes, glasses and watches, as well as a series of fragrances with great success among consumers.

Without forgetting the sofas, beds, blankets, rugs and accessories for Home & Living that have further expanded the brand’s reputation.
